Overview
The Equity Swaps Trade Support team provides cover and support to a variety of desks across the equities division, including flow, yield enhancement, and Delta 1 desks, with crossover into structured and exotic products. The role is responsible for advanced end‑to‑end operational support for securities, loans, exchange‑traded derivatives and over‑the‑counter derivatives across multiple lines of business and cross‑business functional support throughout the lifecycle of a trade.
Responsibilities
- Ensure trading and operational activities are completed accurately and before deadlines.
- Research and resolve complex issues and simplify client interactions.
- Client Swap allocations.
- Perform lifecycle events on swaps.
- Process corporate action events (elections & bookings).
- Provide client‑facing, follow‑the‑sun support for swap queries.
- Reconcile single stock and index dividends vs hedges.
- Rate and price fixings.
- Process dividend payments and FX.
- Investigate P&L discrepancies.
- Build and maintain robust operational controls for risk monitoring.
- Resolve queries with front office and clients.
- Lead projects that enhance processes and build relationships with technology, front office, and operations stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience processing mandatory and voluntary corporate actions on swaps, front to back.
- Ability to manage voluntary CA event variation requests and query management.
- Strong client relationship building skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset – identify and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Proficiency in Excel; VBA and Python preferred.
