Job Description
Benenden School seeks an experienced Teacher of Piano from late February 2026 (or possibly sooner) to play a key role in our thriving Music Department, with stunning new, purpose-built facilities.
The successful candidate will be an inspirational figure who is able to teach Piano up to and beyond Grade 8. This is a Visiting Teacher role on our Associate Staff, currently amounting to around 6 hours of teaching, but with scope for more in the future.
Benenden is one of the leading day & boarding schools in Britain. Founded in 1923, the School is situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. There are 550 girls in the school, aged 11-18, the majority of whom are boarders, complemented by approximately 50 day students.
Benenden is at the forefront of girls’ education in the UK, with recent innovations including the Benenden Diploma, a bespoke curriculum for our youngest two year groups, and the Professional Skills Programme, teaching the Sixth Form skills for the workplace.
The current parental charge is between £55 and £65 per hour. Teachers invoice parents directly for lessons.
