Overview
Academics are seeking qualified and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) for various day-to-day and short/long term supply positions in primary and SEN schools across Caerphilly. Opportunities provide flexibility to choose preferred days, with potential to transition into long-term and/or permanent contracts with partnering schools.
Responsibilities
* Providing learning support for learners in a classroom environment or in 1:1 settings.
* Running specific activities to support the learner's individual learning and social needs.
* Working as part of a team to ensure the well-being and personal development of the learner enhances their learning opportunities and life skills.
* Providing positive praise and reinforcements to learners.
Pay
Learning Support Assistant Pay: £88.94 - £95 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Requirements / Qualifications
* Have had the appropriate training and/or previous experience of working with children with special educational needs.
* Be aware of the national curriculum and be able to develop content with an enthusiastic approach.
* Be available to work with short notice; calls can come from 7.00am, with arrival at partnership schools in Caerphilly by 8.30am (sometimes with 30–60 minutes’ notice).
* Be able to work flexibly between Monday and Friday. Usual hours are 8.30am–3.30pm.
* Ideally hold a fully Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new Enhanced DBS through us (cost applies).
