Senior Support Worker - £13.90/Hr – Barnsley, UK

Making Space is a values-driven care organisation, and we are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our team in Barnsley.
The role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key part in leading a small team and ensuring high-quality, person-centred support is delivered at our Silver Street Respite Service.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 35 hours per week. You will support adults with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, dementia, mental health conditions and physical health needs, helping them live as independently as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support a team of Support Workers
* Delegate tasks and guide staff to deliver high standards of care
* Follow and review individual care plans
* Support with medication administration
* Assist with daily living tasks such as shopping and personal care
* Encourage individuals to access the community and stay engaged
* Ensure all support is delivered in line with company values

The person
* Holds a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
* Has previous experience as a Support Worker
* Confident supervising or guiding others
* Values person-centred care
