Neway International are seeking an Appointee Officer (Admin & Clerical) to join our client based with Nottinghamshire County Council.

Location: Trent Bridge House, Fox Road, Nottingham, NG2 6BJ
Hours: 37 per week
Start Date: 12/01/2026
Duration ongoing
Pay Rates: £13.90 PAYE / £17.99 Umbrella
Office-based for first 4 weeks during training, then reviewed based on performance

The Role

As an Appointee Officer, you will join the Appointee and Deputyship Team, managing the finances of individuals who lack the capacity to do so themselves. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise competing tasks effectively. You will provide professional, empathetic communication with service users, their families, and a range of stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial management and resolution of queries.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage the finances of a portfolio of individuals under the Appointee and Deputyship Team.
* Provide accurate advice and resolve financial queries for service users and their families.
* Communicate professionally and empathetically with stakeholders including social workers, support providers, and government agencies.
* Prioritise workload effectively and work independently to meet deadlines.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.


Candidate Requirements

* Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
* Confident communicator with professional and empathetic interpersonal skills.
* Experience of building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
* Knowledge of Adult Social Care and Health and the State benefit system is desirable but not essential.
* Motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting vulnerable residents.
