Job Title: Facilities Painter
Primary Location: Washington (NE38)
Supporting Location: Seaton Burn (NE13, as required – Company transport available)
Salary: Real Living Wage £12.60ph
Hours: 7.5 hours per day (flexible with start/finish times)
About the Role:
We are looking for a Facilities Painter to join Roundel Manufacturing Ltd. Based primarily at our Washington site, you will also provide support at our Seaton Burn facility when required. This role involves maintaining the internal and external appearance of our factory buildings and facilities through painting, decorating, and finishing tasks, ensuring a safe and professional environment for all staff.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and paint a variety of surfaces, including factory and office walls and ceilings, factory floors, doors, and metalwork, internally and externally.
· Carry out touch-ups and full repaints as required across both sites.
· Apply protective and specialist coatings to machinery and building fabric.
· Maintain painting tools and equipment in safe working order.
· Ensure all tasks are completed in line with health & safety standards.
· Work alongside the facilities team to support site upkeep.
Skills & Experience Required:
· Previous experience as a painter/decorator (industrial experience is preferred but not essential).
· Ability to prepare surfaces effectively (filling, sanding, priming).
· Knowledge of paints, coatings, and application methods.
· Good attention to detail and ability to deliver a high-quality finish.
· Flexible and proactive approach to work.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Full UK driving license (preferred but not essential).
· The ability to work at height from a scissor lift (No experience required, full training provided).
