Join Trowers and Hamlins as a Team Assistant in our Birmingham office. As a Team Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative support to partners and fee earners, contributing to the firm's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and sustainable growth. This role is 100% office-based.
The Role
The Team Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks essential to the smooth operation of the firm, including:
1. Providing full administrative support to partners, fee earners, and PAs
2. Managing filing and file management, including opening and closing files
3. Assisting at internal and external seminars
4. Producing and engrossing documents, and compiling document bibles
5. Obtaining official copy documents from local authorities and search providers
6. Using Land Registry Portal and other online search services
7. Maintaining filing and document management systems
8. Assisting with file archiving and retrieval services
9. Performing scanning, photocopying, and printing tasks
10. Supporting and covering for administrative staff and assisting other departments as needed
11. Handling incoming/outgoing post duties and covering reception when required
The Candidate
The ideal Team Assistant will possess the following qualities and skills:
1. Passionate, flexible, with a proactive attitude
2. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
3. Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office
6. Previous administrative experience is desirable
7. Ability to handle and prioritize competing demands effectively
8. A dedicated team player with the ability to use initiative
