Role Overview
As a Junior Systems Engineer at ETL Systems, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of high-performance RF distribution equipment used in satellite communications. Our products include RF matrices, splitters, combiners, amplifiers, and fibre systems, all designed to support mission-critical infrastructure for customers around the world.
In this role, you will support the full engineering lifecycle of our systems. This includes assisting with the design of RF and electronic circuits, supporting system integration, and contributing to product testing and validation. You will work closely with senior engineers to develop technical specifications, create schematics, and ensure that products meet performance and reliability standards.
You will be involved in configuring and testing RF signal paths, analysing system behaviour, and identifying opportunities for optimisation. You will also help investigate and resolve technical issues, working collaboratively with colleagues in production, quality assurance, and customer support to ensure smooth delivery and operation of our products.
Your work will span both hardware and software aspects of our systems. You may assist with firmware updates, control system integration, and automation testing. You will also contribute to documentation, including test procedures, user guides, and technical reports, ensuring clarity and accuracy for internal and external stakeholders.
This is a collaborative role where you will engage with multiple teams across the business. You will participate in design reviews, team meetings, and project planning sessions, gaining exposure to commercial and operational aspects of product development. You will be encouraged to share ideas, ask questions, and take initiative in solving engineering challenges.
ETL Systems is committed to supporting your development. You will receive structured training and mentoring, with opportunities to build your knowledge of RF engineering, satellite communications, and product development processes. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who demonstrate a genuine interest in engineering and a willingness to learn.
Above all, you will be part of a company that values Integrity, Excellence, Innovation, and Collaboration. These values guide how we work together, how we support our customers, and how we continue to lead in the satellite communications industry.

Our ideal candidate
We welcome applications from individuals who are enthusiastic about engineering and keen to contribute to the development of high-performance RF distribution systems. The following skills and attributes are considered desirable for success in this role. You do not need to meet all of them to apply, as we value potential, curiosity and a willingness to learn.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

* Exposure to CAD tools such as SolidWorks and Altium Designer.
* Experience working with requirements management tools, such as Jama Connect or similar.
* Understanding of product development processes and embedded software environments.
* Ability to manage and manipulate technical data within databases and file systems.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills within an engineering or technical environment.
* Effective communication skills in a technical context, including verbal, visual and written formats.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing workloads.
