The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, dynamic team. As the Marketing, Branding and Events Assistant, you will support a busy Marketing team based at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens. You will assist in the concept, creation, and delivery of the Gardens’ diverse events programme, as well as providing wider marketing and administrative support.
You will contribute to all aspects of the team’s work—from sourcing photography and liaising with external suppliers to producing event brochures and promotional content. You will also represent the Gardens at a range of on‑site and off‑site events.
This is an exciting and varied role, requiring excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a strong creative flair.

Working with the Marketing and Events Manager and the Digital Marketing Officer, you will support all areas of marketing activity, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and standards.
The Gardens host a year‑round events programme of workshops, exhibitions, concerts, lectures, tours and children’s trails, as well as the popular Christmas Light Trail.
This role is central to the development, coordination and promotion of the events programme, ensuring high quality delivery and strong audience engagement.
