Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, develop innovative menus, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth daily operations
* Develop creative and appealing menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and excellence in every dish
* Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards within the kitchen environment
* Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to minimise waste and control costs
* Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to foster a positive working environment and professional growth
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and optimise customer satisfaction
* Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Assist with serving meals during busy periods when necessary
Requirements
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant setting
* Strong culinary skills with a comprehensive understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
* Previous experience in a supervisory or head chef role is highly desirable
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
* Good communication skills to effectively lead a team and liaise with other departments
* Passion for creating high-quality dishes that delight customers
* Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred
* Preparing dough and fulfilling orders
