We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Outreach Recovery Worker who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. Where: Reading Hours: Full Time, 37.5 per week Full Time Salary Range : £32,002.35 - £34,214.20, pro rata for part time hours * Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. About the role: Identify and engage individuals with substance misuse issues and complex physical and/or mental health needs, including co-morbidities Deliver recovery-focused clinical and psychosocial interventions to support substance recovery and primary healthcare needs Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop structured recovery plans that support substance use reduction and community reintegration Support and develop service-based recovery communities Strengthen and maintain links with local recovery groups and mutual aid networks Adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements and obtain informed consent for information sharing at all times Support individuals to build recovery resources and access peer and mutual support to enhance recovery capital Carry out relevant screening processes, including DBST, urine and saliva testing, following appropriate training or demonstrated competence Deliver key harm-reduction interventions, including Needle Exchange services and Naloxone distribution, following appropriate training or experience Support the Team Leader with case file audits and promote a learning culture through feedback and team learning initiatives About you: Education, Knowledge and Experience Excellent knowledge and understanding of drug and alcohol issues, with relevant experience in the field Experience of working with individuals with complex physical and/or mental health needs, including co-morbidities Proven experience of multi-agency working and building effective partnerships to achieve positive service user outcomes Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services and best practice Experience of contributing to or participating in audit cycles Experience of working within an outcomes-focused service environment Experience of managing complex and high-risk child and adult safeguarding cases Abilities and Skills Ability to manage and adapt to change while prioritising the needs of service users Strong ability to communicate complex information clearly to individuals and groups Ability to lead specific work streams and support frontline staff in delivering high-quality services Ability to work to deadlines and maintain timely, accurate documentation and reports What we will give to you: 25 days holiday ( bank holidays) rising by 1 day for each years’ service “Capped at 30 days” Paid ‘Wellness’ hour each week along with a ‘Wellness’ hub and Employee Assist Programme Contributory pension scheme Several benefits incl. discounts for shopping, cinema, holidays, etc. A friendly and supportive team Training, career development & progression opportunities Please ensure that when completing your application form and supporting statement, you reflect on the details outlined in the job description.
