Overview
Welsh Speaking Female Support Worker Required - Mencap Cymru are launching a new supported living service in the Llanrwst area of Conwy and are seeking Welsh speaking Support Workers to join our team. The service is planned to open in October 2025. We are looking for people interested in part-time contracts.
Responsibilities
* Support individuals with learning disabilities in daily activities and provide emotional support.
* Build meaningful relationships with participants and maintain a positive, empathetic approach.
* Complete rotas and coordinate shifts (most services are 24-hour care) with planning at least 4 weeks in advance.
* Ensure safety and wellbeing of participants; participate in required training and development opportunities.
Qualifications
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
* Full, valid UK driving licence and access to your own car (essential).
* Welsh speaking.
* Enhanced DBS check and suitable references (one must be your most recent/current employer).

Additional Information
There is a non-contractual sleep-in option with an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
All roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available for this role.
