Responsibilities
* Take ownership of key design deliverables, identifying opportunities for automation and process efficiencies.
* Ensure scope changes are escalated appropriately to maintain programme and budget integrity.
* Collaborate closely with discipline leads and project stakeholders to produce high‑quality outcomes.
* Mentor and support less experienced team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Design experience in transportation and the built environment.
* Attained a relevant professional qualification, such as a degree in engineering, and CEng/ IEng or equivalent qualifications or work experience.
* Technical experience delivering local and/or major highways projects or the land side alignment elements in adjacent markets such as water aviation or rail.
* Thorough understanding of commonly used design standards such as Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW) or international equivalents.
* Sound knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and a passion for fostering safety and wellbeing.
* Ability to work independently and effectively within a global multi‑disciplinary team.
