We are seeking a caring and proactive EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children in their earliest years of formal education, helping them develop essential skills, confidence, and a love of learning.
The successful candidate will work closely with Early Years teachers to support learning across the EYFS curriculum. You will assist with classroom activities, small-group interventions, and one-to-one support for pupils who require additional help. Observing, recording, and feeding back on pupil progress will be a key part of your role, ensuring children’s development is closely monitored.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the planning and delivery of high-quality lessons in the EYFS
* Work with small groups or individual children to provide targeted support
* Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
* Observe and record children’s learning and development
* Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources
* Build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience working with children in an Early Years setting
* Knowledge of child development and the EYFS framework
* Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
