Senior Social Worker / AMHP with the Emergency Duty Team
The St Helens Emergency Duty Team, commissioned by Halton LA, delivers an out‑of‑hours emergency response to reduce risk of immediate harm for children and adults, including mental‑health support, assessments and homelessness care. EDT’s primary office is at the Municipal Building, Widnes.
The team operates a hybrid shift model, offering work‑from‑home during weekdays and overnight shifts as required. Weekend, day and evening shifts are office‑based.
Meet the Team
As part of a skilled, professional team, you will work under the support of experienced colleagues and the Team Manager.
Are you who we’re looking for:
* Knowledge, skills and experience to deliver a high‑quality service to vulnerable children and adults
* Approved Mental Health Professional, able to undertake Mental Health Act assessments
* Awareness of safeguarding legislative and procedural issues
* Ability to operate with high professional autonomy
