Overview
Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in Operations, where you'll play a vital role in keeping our store running smoothly behind the scenes. You will be responsible for receiving deliveries, unpacking goods, and preparing crates to ensure the shop floor is fully stocked. You will use in-store systems to track deliveries and manage stock, helping create a seamless shopping experience for customers.
Responsibilities
* Accept deliveries, unpack goods, and prepare crates to ensure shelves are stocked.
* Keep the shop floor stocked and products available for customers at all times.
* Track deliveries and stock using in-store systems and tools.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the store to support smooth operations and create an inclusive environment.
* Adapt to various operational tasks and changing store needs.
Purpose
To deliver a great shopping experience for customers by putting customers before tasks and championing our products. As the face of the business, you help soundly advocate for customers and support continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
* Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points.
* Keep the store clean and tidy with shelves stocked.
* Monitor and respond to daily sales targets, priorities, promotions, and opportunities.
* Proactively engage with customers to understand needs, make recommendations, and deliver excellent service.
* Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend products and services.
* Receive training to utilise digital tools and communication channels to serve customers effectively.
