Recruitment Consultant
Location: Lisburn
Hours: Full-time, hours per week
Salary: £26,000 per annum OTE £35,500

The Role
As a Recruitment Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, tailored recruitment solutions to clients while supporting candidates through every stage of their job search. This is a fast-paced, target-driven role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, developing business, and delivering results.
You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle from winning and servicing clients to sourcing, screening, and placing candidates while consistently meeting performance and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
8. Generate new business opportunities and develop existing client relationships
9. Achieve sales and gross profit targets in line with KPIs
10. Conduct client meetings, both new and existing
11. Identify and follow up on new leads and opportunities
12. Support proposal writing and tender submissions
13. Negotiate fees and rates in line with company policy
14. Ensure compliance with approval and discount frameworks
Client Management
15. Manage and develop client accounts, ensuring excellent service delivery
16. Handle vacancy intake and ongoing vacancy management
17. Provide market insights including salary benchmarking and candidate availability
18. Gather and maintain detailed client information including organisational structure and workforce trends
19. Cross-sell additional recruitment brands and services where appropriate
20. Produce management information and complete client satisfaction surveys
21. Provide on-call support to clients when required
Candidate Management
22. Source, screen, and register candidates in line with weekly KPIs
23. Build and maintain strong talent pools
24. Prepare candidates for interviews and provide detailed client briefings
25. Deliver constructive interview feedback and career advice
26. Negotiate offers, notice periods, and employment terms
27. Advise candidates on pay rates, training, and progression opportunities
28. Manage temporary worker availability where applicable
29. Ensure CVs are high quality, accurate, and aligned to client requirements
Compliance & Quality
30. Carry out candidate vetting including ID checks, right-to-work, references, and compliance documentation
31. Maintain accurate records in line with legislative and company requirements
32. Ensure all written and verbal communication is professional and effective
33. Use and maintain the CRM system accurately
34. Support branch operations and deputise for the Branch Manager when required
35. Mentor colleagues and support training and development initiatives
36. Manage your own personal development plan (PDP)
Essential Criteria
37. Minimum 1 year recruitment consultancy experience within the last 5 years
OR
2 years direct sales experience in a target-driven environment
38. Experience managing clients and developing new business
39. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook
40. Excellent communication and influencing skills
41. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
42. Full driving licence or access to transport (travel required)
Desirable Criteria
43. 2+ years recruitment consultancy experience
44. Experience using recruitment databases / CRM systems
45. Professional accreditation (REC or NRF/ERF)
