Morning: Monday to Friday - 6am to 2.30pm, Afternoons: Monday to Thursday - 2pm to 11.30pm, Friday - 2pm to 6pm
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Laser Setter Operator to join our client in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established manufacturing company. If you have previous experience setting and operating laser machines, this is the opportunity for you. A valid counterbalance fork truck licence is preferred; however, this is not essential for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities: Setting, programming and operating laser cutting machines in line with production schedules. Carrying out machine start-up checks and ensuring correct parameters are set for each job. Loading raw materials safely and efficiently onto machines. Monitoring cutting performance and making adjustments where necessary to maintain quality and efficiency. Unloading finished cut parts and inspecting for accuracy and defects. Deburring, cleaning, and preparing parts where required. Sorting, labelling and organising parts ready for dispatch to customers. Completing relevant production paperwork and job documentation accurately. Ensuring quality standards are consistently maintained throughout the manufacturing process. Carrying out basic machine maintenance and keeping equipment clean and in good working order. Adhering to all health and safety procedures at all times. Supporting general production and warehouse duties as required. Requirements: Previous experience operating and setting laser machines (essential) Counterbalance forklift licence (preferred but not essential) Ability to undertake heavy lifting Good attention to detail Reliable and able to work alternating shifts What we offer?
