Job Title: Policy Analyst Location: Kings Hill/Hybrid Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum Please note this is initially a 12-month Fixed Term Contract We are seeking a proactive and inquiring Policy Analyst to join our Corporate Services division. As part of the Governance & Strategy team, you will play a key role in providing research, insights, and analysis on policy developments within the UK public and education sectors to support the development of thought leadership content and inform business strategy. Key Responsibilities: Conduct research and analysis on relevant policy and sector developments, identifying actionable insights Support the provision of regular updates on policy insights, thought leadership and case studies to key stakeholders Provide up-to-date content to senior leadership for meetings and presentation Collaborate on and contribute to consultations submitted by CSG’s partner organisations Gather case studies on CSG’s impact in key policy areas and assist in writing and compiling thought leadership, blog posts and other content for social and traditional media What we’re looking for: A proactive and curious individual who has a keen interest in and understanding of government structure, policy development processes, and the role of public affairs in shaping policy Some experience in public policy, affairs, PR, or communications Strong written communication skills, including demonstrable experience in producing articles, blog posts, newsletters, reports or other relevant content Proven ability to engage and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders Familiarity with digital tools and social media strategies to maximise engagement and track impact A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is desirable What We Offer: 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays Hybrid working An additional day off for your birthday to celebrate as you wish Access to a generous discount scheme, including retail and gym memberships Life assurance coverage Health cash plan initiative Companywide events About Commercial Services Group Commercial Services Group (CSG) is the largest, local authority-owned trading company (LATCO) in the UK, wholly owned by Kent County Council.
