Site Services Engineer
Wrexham | Continental Shift Pattern | £46,500 Salary
The Role
We are recruiting a Site Services Engineer to support a large, modern manufacturing facility in Wrexham. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all site-wide services and hard facilities. Working on a continental shift pattern, you'll take ownership of essential infrastructure including HVAC, boilers, and associated building services, helping to maintain a safe and compliant production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, monitor, and repair site services including HVAC systems, boilers, steam, compressed air, and water systems
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across all hard services and facilities equipment
Ensure site utilities operate efficiently to support continuous manufacturing operations
Diagnose faults and coordinate repairs to minimise disruption to production
Manage contractors and service providers, ensuring work is completed safely and to standard
Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, statutory inspections, and site procedures
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and statutory documentation
Support energy efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement projects
Experience & Qualifications
Recognised engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
Proven experience in a site services, facilities, or utilities engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, and associated hard services
Understanding of statutory compliance requirements (e.g. pressure systems, gas safety, LOLER, PUWER)
Ability to fault-find, prioritise work, and work independently on shift
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
