This position is a Teaching and Research role within the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at UNSW. The role covers the work of academics within the school who have ARC fellowship appointments. The successful candidate will undertake high-quality teaching and research in transport engineering, with a focus on emerging technologies such as predictive modelling, real-time traffic analytics, and autonomous vehicle integration. Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia
Reporting: This role reports to the Head of School and has no direct reports.

* Level B, Salary - $127,947 to $150,830 per annum + 17% superannuation

Skills and Experience
* A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
* Demonstrated commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
* Teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
* Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (curriculum design and development at various levels).
* Knowledge of industry or work-integrated learning (desirable).
* Ability to support students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
* Proven research track record with high-quality, high-impact outcomes and leadership potential.
* Involvement with the profession and/or industry.
* Strong communication, networking and interpersonal skills to engage a diverse student and staff community.
* Ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build relationships.
* Organisational skills and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values.
* Understanding of health and safety responsibilities and willingness to undertake related training.
