We have a full time position, Band 6 Urology Specialist Nurse progressing to Band 7 following relevant training and completion of pertinent competencies, available within the Urology Department in NHS Grampian.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an excellent Specialist Nurse team developing your nursing career within the Benign Urology Service. The Urology Service is a large and expanding specialty and this role will be a key part in the development of the service moving forward.
We require a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic individual. The suitable candidate must have excellent communication skills, be able to work autonomously and as part of a team within this well-established service. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate clinical excellence in Urology nursing practice and have extensive post registration nursing experience.
Suitable candidates should be able to work efficiently, effectively and be able to use their initiative to make sound rational decisions supported by evidenced based practice and research. The candidate must also have the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
The Urology Service works collaboratively across NHS Grampian to provide integrated and clinically effective services for patients with urological disorders. The sucessful candiate will conduct Nurse led clinics and investigations, focusing on benign urology conditions and will provide advice, support, information and education to patients, carers and other health care professionals involved in the care of patients.
The successful candidate will also be involved in Telephone follow up clinics for patients with newly diagnosed Urology conditions.
Full support will be given for training and the completion of competencies.
