What you'll be doing
* Apply ex-operator knowledge to assess and analyse system designs, diagrams, and data, ensuring technical accuracy and robust maintenance outputs.
* Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to colleagues across the engineering team.
* Support stakeholder engagement and contribute to collaborative working groups for maintenance design.
* Estimate scope, resources, and costs to support bids, proposals, and project planning.
* Ensure all work aligns with Quality and SH&E Management Systems.
Experience required
Essential:
* Background as a submarine nuclear operator or maintainer.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
* Understanding of the complete engineering lifecycle, with experience in multiple lifecycle phases.
* Extensive knowledge of ship systems and how they integrate with ILS and safety.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with Ministry of Defence (MoD), industry, and corporate standards.
