Position Title: UI/UX Planner
Duration: Contract
Location: Gaydon
Purpose of the Role:
1. The UI/UX Planner (Producer) is responsible for the upfront coordination and planning of HMI / UI UX workstreams and then managing them through to delivery.
2. The purpose of the role is to turn UIUX specific programme requirements into credible project plans, resourced appropriately and structured with reviews and deliverables, that seamlessly dovetail into the both the broader vehicle design programme and brand design activity.
Key Accountabilities:
3. Responsible for setting up how UIUX projects are operationalised.
4. Insightful planning that marries resource and deliverables and timing within broader programme requirements.
5. Ensure cross design discipline integration of UI/UX workstreams
6. Key support function of operational management of the Brand Design team, in order to achieve our strategic objectives
7. Liaise and co-ordinate with creative operations, programme management and business operations teams to ensure appropriate team capacity in order to deliver projects on-time and to budget
8. Supports and informs capacity planning
9. Stakeholder management across interdependent design functions.
Essential Skills:
10. Creation and management of detailed project plan using MS Project, Wrike, Jira, Adobe Workflow or similar tools
11. Stakeholder management, working with cross-discipline teams
12. Ensuring all involved parties in delivery teams understand requirements for deliverable and key dates
13. Experience of resource planning across multiple creative disciplines
Critical Capabilities:
14. Excellent knowledge of UX & UI design and the process of delivery
15. Experience of strategically planning UX, UI and multi-disciplinary projects
16. Min 3 years' experience working in UX/UI and software development teams
17. Automotive design experience is preferable.
18. Ability to translate plans and strategies into action to support the execution of projects.
19. Strong track record of delivery within both agency and corporate settings
20. Creative sensitivity and acumen to understand complex multi-disciplinary design projects
21. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
22. Interpersonal skills and the ability to present complex information to all levels within the business
23. Comfortable managing projects across different cultures, geography and time zones.
24. Experience with Chinese based teams preferable.
25. Able to adapt to a fast-paced design environment.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
26. Note - this is not a junior role - mid/senior only
27. Min 3 years' experience working with UX/UI and software development teams
28. Must be comfortable working to a brief to tight deadline
29. Comfortable working with partner teams located overseas and managing potential disconnect through cultural and language barriers
Experience & Qualifications:
30. Working with China-based clients/teams
31. Working with MX or Feishu tools for sharing files and deliverables
32. Experience of planning physical and digital requirements on a single product/project
