Business Development & Key Accounts Lead – UK
We are looking for a strategic-minded professional with solid experience in the UK retail channel and the ability to drive commercial development for an International leader in the FMCG sector with a strong presence across Europe. This role is key to strengthening relationships with major retail chains, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the company’s sustainable growth. Responsibilities and Main functions Directly manage key retail accounts in UK, with a focus on both international and top national chains. Achieve sales, margin, and profitability targets for the assigned markets. Build and implement tailored commercial plans for each client (pricing, promotional activity, assortment). Work closely with Category Management and Marketing to adapt offerings to local consumer trends. Coordinate with internal departments (Quality, Production, Logistics) to ensure seamless execution. Identify and develop new business opportunities in retail or adjacent channels. Lead contract negotiations, annual agreements, and product launches. Provide market and competitive analysis to support strategic decisions. Candidate profile Minimum
8 years’ experience
in international sales or Key Account Management within the
FMCG or food industry. Proven track record managing retail clients in
UK, ideally including experience with
private label. Deep understanding of local
retail structures, negotiation dynamics, and buyer expectations. Strategic mindset, autonomy, and strong result orientation. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is a plus. Comfortable working in a multicultural and matrixed organization We offer a
competitive compensation package aligned with the candidate’s experience and background, including a fixed salary typically ranging from £75,000 to £90,000, plus performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. Location: Head Office, approximately 60 minutes north-east of London –
hybrid working. We are open to considering candidates based in the UK, Ireland, or Spain, as the role involves frequent cross-market collaboration. Seniority level
