CNC Recruitment is seeking skilled CNC Operators to join a reputable client in the Bridgwater area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced operators who take pride in their precision and independence.
Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
Pay Rate: Up to £15 an hour
Contract: Temp - Perm
Hours of Work Monday -Thursday 7am 4pm Friday 7am 1:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders) according to engineering drawings and specifications
* Load raw materials and tooling into machines and perform basic setups
* Monitor machine operations to ensure production standards are met
* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines
* Inspect finished products using measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
* Identify and troubleshoot machine or quality issues
* Maintain accurate production records and documentation
* Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
* Familiarity with measuring tools and quality control procedures
* Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
* Basic knowledge of G-code and CNC programming (preferred but not essential)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good problem-solving and communication skills
Flexibility to work shifts or overtime if required
