We are currently recruiting for a Senior Clerk of the Works to
Lead and manage the Construction Quality within NBBC’s Capital and Revenue programmes through quality control inspections for conformity and assurance.
To manage a team of officers to instil a quality management and safety culture.
Excellent knowledge of building construction regulations and Health and Safety Legislation
Good organisational and communication skills, in both written and oral.
Previous Experience of managing a team.
Relevant and recent experience in dealing with contractors, other building professionals and members of the public.
Relevant and recent experience in the building industry along with proven experience in conducting site inspections.
Able to work to deadlines and prioritise own workload.
As a key member of the Capital Projects team there will be liaison with external contractors, clients and other key parties to deliver the Capital Major works programmes.
Relevant and recent experience as Clerk of the Works or similarly related activities on larger projects involving working with a range of consultants and departments.
Trade background in the construction industry
Possess or willingness and able to work towards a qualification at NVQ Level 6 on the national qualifications’ framework in Site Inspection or similar
IOSH or willing to work towards
