Job Description Port Services at Konecranes focuses on the service, maintenance and repair of lifting equipment and automation solutions within ports, harbours and terminals - equipment includes, mobile harbour cranes, straddle carriers and container handling equipment to name but a few. We are recruiting a Port Service Engineer to carry out the maintenance and repair of this equipment. All of our customer are located in coastal areas, so being willing to travel is a key requirement for this role as well as being mechanically-qualified. We are looking for candidates who are ideally based in the north of the UK, preferably in the northeast - Newcastle, Gateshead, Middlesbrough or the Humber area. This role can also offer the opportunity to work overseas, but this is not a mandatory requirement. Be organised and self-motivated person. Computer proficient including basic networking and component diagnostics. Familiar with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and LOLER UK drivers licence Ability to work at height Able to spend periods of time away from home Konecranes moves what matters.
