The Role – What You’ll Do We are looking for a People Operations Business Partner to join our People team. This is a hands-on, operational HR role focused on providing high-quality advice and support across the organisation. Reporting to the People Operations Manager and working closely with the Head of People Operations, you will take a lead role in employee relations and recruitment, supporting managers to effectively manage people matters and contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This role is ideal for someone with strong generalist HR experience who is confident working independently and is looking to take on a broader, more impactful role within a growing organisation. Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations & HR Advisory Lead and manage employee relations cases including absence, performance, grievance and disciplinary Provide clear, practical HR advice to managers in line with policy and employment law Support and coach managers to build confidence in managing people issues Ensure consistent and fair application of policies and procedures Recruitment & Workforce Planning Lead end-to-end recruitment processes across the organisation Work closely with hiring managers to plan recruitment and deliver a positive candidate experience Maintain and improve recruitment processes, systems, and reporting Support workforce planning and attraction strategies People Operations Support onboarding, induction and probation processes Maintain accurate HR systems and employee records Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement Support organisational change activity, including growth and TUPE-related work Projects & Continuous Improvement Support People projects aligned to organisational priorities Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency across the People function About You Skills and Experience: CIPD Level 5 Strong experience in generalist HR, particularly employee relations Proven experience managing a range of ER cases independently Experience leading or supporting recruitment processes end-to-end Confident working autonomously in a fast-paced environment Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach Why Join Oakdale?
