Maternity Cover - Receptionist / Administrator
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive individual to join our busy GP practice as a Receptionist on a maternity cover basis.
Main duties of the job
* Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
* Managing incoming calls and booking appointments
* Handling patient queries with sensitivity and confidentiality
* Updating and maintaining patient records
* Liaising with clinical staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Job responsibilities
The GP Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a professional and welcoming service. The role involves managing front desk operations, handling telephone and online enquiries, booking and coordinating appointments, and supporting the smooth running of the practice. The receptionist works closely with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff while ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
* Experience in customer services and administration helpful. Previous knowledge of Systmone an advantage.
