CNC Operator (Milling)

As a CNC Operator, you’ll work on critical components for aircraft landing gear, directly contributing to the safety of people flying around the world. You’ll be part of a high-tech, innovative, and multi-technology environment, working with great clients and an even better team – all while being supported in your personal and professional growth.
Your role
To make sure your start at Fokker Landing Gear is a success, we offer a tailored onboarding and training program. You'll get to know our organization, products, and processes in detail. A dedicated buddy – a seasoned CNC Operator from your team – will be there to guide you and answer your questions along the way.
Your responsibilities include:
* Start your day with a team meeting to discuss the planning, ongoing projects, and any urgent tasks that may arise.
* Check if previous operations on the components meet required standards before starting your own machining work.
* Use CNC milling machines to carry out machining operations on high-precision landing gear components.
* You’ll work on a variety of parts – from arresting hooks for the F-35 (JSF) to cylinders and pistons for NH90 helicopters.
* After machining, you'll perform precise measurements and inspections, or ask a colleague to double-check your work before passing it to the next stage.
Important:
You will regularly operate 5-axis CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls or SINUMERIK, so prior experience with both is a strong advantage.

What you bring
You’re driven to deliver the best aircraft components every single day. You pay close attention to quality and enjoy learning and growing in your profession. You're a true team player who’s not afraid to ask questions when needed.
Additionally, you have:
* A technical background through education and/or hands-on experience.
* Experience in CNC milling (knowledge of turning is a plus).
* Experience with 5-axis CNC milling machines.
* Familiarity with Heidenhain CNC controls.
* Proficiency in English.
