We have an opportunity for you. Asset Compliance Senior Engineer plays a key role in ensuring development and implementation of the councils street lighting policy ensuring compliance with all national standards and local policies.
You will be responsible for initiating street lighting replacement programmes based on a risk-based approach to minimise on-going risk and maximise replacements within budget constraints.
You will be responsible for ensuring asset databases are updated correctly and amend any discrepancies as required.
Your role will answer any compliance issues including existing lighting levels and compliance including any customer enquiries and complaints as well as overseeing street lighting designs ensuring compliance. Providing advice to colleagues and approving works prior to issue.
You will manage a small team to undertake these tasks and will act as a design compliance technical specialist for other non-engineering council departments and third-party clients such as Parish Councils.
Be a point of liaison between street lighting maintenance and street lighting major project design teams.
Oversee timely replacement of accident damaged equipment and manage costs and recovery from third parties.
Manage Capital replacement budgets to ensure best value to the council for replacement schemes.
Suggest and develop capital bids for equipment upgrades. Keep the authority up to date with modern techniques and equipment for compliant lighting.
Provide Key performance indicators on column replacement and options to provide compliant lighting using minimum energy and equipment.
