Grounds Person
Full-Time (52 weeks per year)
Loretto School is one of Britain’s leading independent boarding and day schools located on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Estates Team as a Grounds Person
Main purpose of the role
Working as part of the Estates Team, you will ensure the School’s grounds and sports pitches are maintained and presented to the highest standards possible. On occasions, you may be asked to help the other tradespeople in the team.
You will support general cleaning and maintenance of the grounds as well as the sports pitches. Duties include:

This is a permanent full time post working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and aptitude for the role and in the region of £25,000 per annum.
Experience & Skills
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
* Skilled in the safe use of garden machinery and tools
* Proven experience of working in a team
* Good communication skills and a professional attitude
