Project Manager - Hybrid in Wolverhampton - up to £48,800 - full time permanent
We are working with a large, forward-thinking institution undergoing significant digital transformation.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT projects from concept and business case through to implementation and transition into Business as Usual.
Initially, there will be a strong focus on a major timetabling system initiative, working closely with suppliers and stakeholders to define the project plan and delivery approach. Over time, the role will support a wider portfolio of digital and infrastructure projects.
This position requires a technically minded IT Project Manager, someone comfortable working across systems, infrastructure and enterprise applications rather than pure business change.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to BAU handover
2. Develop and manage detailed project plans including scope, milestones, budgets, dependencies and risk logs
3. Manage multi-million-pound budgets (typically £100k-£3m) including financial control, forecasting and governance
4. Build and manage relationships across project boards, technical teams and business stakeholders
5. Work in a matrix environment, coordinating business and technical colleagues without direct line management responsibility
