About The Role As a Specialist Tutor you will be an integral part of the Inclusive Learning team working collaboratively with colleagues across Folkestone College and the wider East Kent Colleges Group to support students with Autism and SEMH. You will be key in supporting and creatively teaching young people in small groups and on a 1-1 basis, providing personalised and tailored individual strategies to build confidence and independence. You will provide training to staff enabling them to embed an inclusive culture and effective practices across each curriculum. In addition to supporting our young people, this role provides an exciting opportunity to deliver a bespoke Autism accredited course to adult learners, enabling them to upskill in their own professions. Qualified teacher (DET, PGCE or Certificate in Education). Degree level qualification related to specialist area. Experience of a range of conditions that impact learning - SEND & SEMH.
