Summary of Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join TechNative as our inaugural Head of Skills & Bootcamps. You’ll play a central role in shaping and scaling our cutting-edge digital training programmes, leading quality, compliance, and learner experience across six industry-aligned Bootcamps — including Software Development, Data Analytics, Digital Video Production (Studio & AI strands), and Artificial Intelligence.
You’ll work closely with the Founder Director and our Marketing & Recruitment Lead to launch our first cohort in Autumn 2025. From January onwards, as we scale into our second wave of delivery, you’ll support the onboarding of new colleagues in Learning Support and Careers Guidance, ensuring our learner support offer scales effectively with demand.
We’re looking for a positive, forward-thinking leader with strong people skills and the ability to move between strategy and delivery. If you’ve managed digital training, bootcamps, or adult learning programmes — and are excited to help build a high-quality, inclusive offer from the ground up — we’d love to hear from you.
Purpose of the Role
Lead the end-to-end design, delivery, quality assurance, and safeguarding of all TechNative Skills Bootcamps, ensuring we deliver outstanding learner experiences and meaningful progression outcomes.
Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
* Lead the delivery and growth of TechNative’s bootcamp provision across multiple digital strands
* Set annual objectives and monitor Bootcamp KPIs across strands
* Drive strategic growth in line with TechNative’s mission and values
* Oversee compliance with DfE, Ofsted, and local authority funding requirements
* Line manage the tutor and facilitator team, ensuring strong team culture and learner relationships
Curriculum, Teaching & Quality Assurance
* Ensure all programmes are high quality, inclusive, and aligned to occupational outcomes
* Chair monthly QA reviews; lead teaching observations and action plans
* Embed RARPA, EIF (Ofsted), and continuous improvement practices across delivery
* Lead safeguarding and Prevent duty compliance, acting as DSL
* Work with delivery partners to ensure consistency across multi-provider models
* Provide interim oversight of progression pathways, working with our marketing and employer leads
* Help shape the learner journey through ILPs, career readiness tools, and interview preparation
* Support development of guaranteed interview pipelines with regional employers
* Expected to transition this area to a dedicated Careers Lead from Cohort 2 onwards
Delivery Support & Escalation
* Provide backup delivery cover and escalation support across all bootcamp strands
* Run tutorials or 1:1s with learners at risk of disengaging
* Attend end-of-cohort showcases and represent TechNative with external partners
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience managing funded training provision, bootcamps, or adult education programmes
* Proven experience of outstanding leadership of teaching and learning teams
* Experience of playing a leading role in preparing for and managing an Ofsted Inspection
* Deep understanding of teaching and learning, including observation and quality frameworks
* Experience with safeguarding, Prevent duty, and inclusive learning design
* Excellent project management and communication skills
* Experience designing curriculum for adult learners (RARPA or other non-accredited models)
* Familiarity with digital skills funding (e.g. Skills Bootcamps, LSIF, Multiply, UKSPF)
* Teaching qualification (or willingness to undertake one)
* Level 3 DSL safeguarding certificate (or willingness to complete prior to start date)
* Reports directly to the Founder Director
* Part of the senior leadership team, alongside the Marketing & Recruitment Lead
* Line manages tutors, support tutors, and (from Cohort 2) Careers and Learning Support staff
* Collaborates with partners including Datacove, AIMI, Latest TV, and Silicon Brighton
* Represents TechNative at learner showcases, network events, and regional employer roundtables
