Accounts Assistant: Newtownabbey Area Temporary (6 weeks) | Full-time | £14 - £15 per hour | Office-based | REED Accountancy is delighted to be working with a rapidly growing and internationally expanding business in the Newtownabbey area for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. This business is an Industry leader, and the finance department is evolving and growing. They are seeking to appoint a capable Accounts Assistant to support their team on a temporary basis in the processing of high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently using the company's ERP system. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Process and code a high volume of invoices into the company's ERP system Match invoices to purchase orders Check and verify invoice details to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Assist with preparing weekly & monthly supplier payment runs. Respond to supplier queries and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally. Support the AP team with month-end closing activities (e.g., invoice accruals and reconciliations). Maintain accurate and organised electronic and paper records of invoices and payments. Assist with supplier account reconciliations and ad hoc finance tasks. The successful candidate will meet the following criteria: 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable or general account's role Exposure to or hands-on experience with an ERP accounting system (preferred). Experience handling high-volume invoice processing is an advantage. Strong Excel and data entry skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Good organisational and time management skills. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
