BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferable

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Civil Configuration Team Lead, your role as our next Configuration Controller is to control the configuration on the Civil Works scope. You will ensure that both proposed and completed modifications comply with project processes and license condition requirements, and that they align with the overall configuration across ~800 packages and ~80,000 deliverables.
This role demands exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to cultivate strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Your role is crucial in maintaining adherence to procedures and safety rules, providing critical input to the substantiation of the safety case, in the projects delivery of a safe and operable nuclear power station.
Key Responsibilities
As a Configuration Controller, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and managing the site’s configuration, ensuring everything aligns with the established management processes for your designated area. You'll be the go-to person for configuration-related queries, helping to streamline the construction phase of HPC.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Keeping the List of Applicable Documents up to date for your assigned area.
2. Processing construction change requests, to ensure the sequential update of the configuration.
3. Managing the site cascade of the design change process into the construction configuration.
4. Serving as the primary contact for your area on behalf of the project during HPC's construction phase.
5. Running data checks across your scope, investigating discrepancies with numerous project stakeholders, then leading the appropriate resolution of each topic and tracking the necessary implementation routes to establish a compliant position.
6. Managing interfaces between work packages on the permanent works to ensure smooth coordination.
7. Identify and develop opportunities to streamline the configuration management processes and procedures on the Civil Works scope, and wider project as necessary.
Who you are
As a Configuration Controller, you’ll use your expertise to ensure the seamless control of engineering documentation and adherence to industry standards. Here's what we’re looking for:
8. A degree/HNC/HND in a relevant science or engineering field, or a strong technical background.
9. Experience managing engineering documentation like Redline
10. Drawings and Work Pack management.
11. Knowledge of Configuration and Nuclear Power Plant standards.
12. Familiarity with change management processes and requests.
13. Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
14. Strong communication skills, able to clearly present discrepancies found to wide reaching MDT members for resolution.
15. Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
16. Strong numerical and analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
17. HPC context and understanding is desirable.
