Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site nationwide role for a Forklift Engineer with the main depot in barnsley. The role involves maintenance, inspection, and repair of forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical or technical issues, performing preventative maintenance, conducting safety checks, and ensuring the highest standard of operation. Other duties include maintaining records of repairs and communicating effectively with the team to ensure efficient equipment functionality.
Qualifications
* Experience in Forklift Operation and Material Handling including VNA
* Strong mechanical and technical skills relevant to material handling equipment
* Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical or hydraulic systems
* Time management skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving license to travel between client sites
* Formal engineering qualifications or certifications related to material handling equipment are an advantage
* Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in industrial environments
