Nursery Nurse – Kingswood

Teaching Personnel is looking for a caring, confident, and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join a friendly Early Years setting in the Kingswood area. Whether you’re seeking part-time or full-time hours, this is a brilliant opportunity for a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children during their most important developmental years.
As a Nursery Nurse, you will work as part of a dedicated team to create a warm, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Your role will involve helping children build key early skills, encouraging independence, and contributing to their social, emotional, and educational development.

Key Responsibilities
• Support daily nursery routines, structured activities, and free‑play sessions
• Deliver 1:1 and small‑group support, including for children with SEN
• Assist with planning and implementing age‑appropriate learning experiences
• Observe, record, and report on children’s progress and development
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that enables every child to thrive
• Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families

Requirements & Desirable Skills
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare
• Experience working in early years (nursery, preschool, or reception)
• Ability to adapt your approach to meet diverse developmental needs
• Knowledge of PECs or Makaton (desirable but not essential)
• A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• A warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
