Business Development Manager (New Business / Hunter Role)

Salary: £36,000 base + OTE (uncapped commission)
About the Role
A leading technology and digital learning provider is looking for a commercially driven, hunter-minded Business Development Manager to drive new revenue growth.
This is a new business–focused role with a dual approach: winning new logos while also expanding and upselling within an existing customer base. You’ll be responsible for owning the full sales cycle, proactively identifying opportunities, and building a strong pipeline through outbound activity, networking, and strategic account penetration.
Responsibilities
* Drive new business acquisition, targeting and securing new logos across key industries
* Proactively generate pipeline through outbound activity (LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and direct outreach)
* Identify and convert opportunities within an existing account base, expanding revenue through upsell and cross-sell
* Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to close
* Lead consultative client conversations to uncover business challenges and position tailored solutions
* Build relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers across prospects and customers
* Prepare and deliver high-quality proposals, presentations, and commercial negotiations
* Maintain and manage a healthy pipeline using CRM, consistently hitting and exceeding targets
* Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful onboarding and long-term account growth
Experience / Skills
* Proven track record in a new business / hunter sales role
* Experience selling B2B solutions (ideally SaaS, tech, or L&D)
* Demonstrated success in both new logo acquisition and account expansion
* Strong outbound prospecting and pipeline generation skills
* Ability to manage full sales cycle deals independently
* Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

Package
