Purpose of the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to lead and oversee all areas of Platform Operations at Fundment, including Investment Operations, Transfers, and Client Servicing. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our platform, ensuring high client satisfaction, and driving continuous improvement across operational processes.
The Director of Operations will manage and grow a high-performing team, act as a strategic operational partner across the business, and serve as a key stakeholder in the evolution of our platform capabilities and regulatory readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Own the end-to-end delivery of Platform Operations, including Investment Operations, Transfers (in and out), and Client Servicing.
Act as second-line approver for operational and process changes, ensuring rigorous oversight and risk management.
People Management
Continually upskill and develop team, deliver regular training to ensure a consistent and high-quality response to clients.
Manage effective performance reviews, appraisals and provide regular feedback.
Client Servicing & Relationship Support
Ensure a consistently high level of client satisfaction across the platform experience.
Collaborate closely with the Distribution team to support the onboarding of strategic clients and institutional partners.
Act as a senior escalation point for operational or servicing issues raised by clients and advisers.
Process & Platform Improvement
Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational processes and increase efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
Work closely with Product and Development teams to scope, prioritise, and implement platform enhancements.
Technical Expertise & Regulatory Oversight
Develop deep domain expertise in Fundment's platform architecture, operations flows, and compliance obligations.
Serve as a go-to resource for technical operations queries, internally and externally.
Essential:
Proven track record in platform operations, in wealth management, fintech, or investment platforms.
Substantial experience of transfers, investment operations, client onboarding, and servicing processes.
Strong people management experience, able to lead, motivate and develop others.
Experience leading and scaling operational teams in a fast-paced or regulated environment.
Understanding of regulatory and reporting obligations in the UK wealth management ecosystem (e.g. CASS, MiFID II, HMRC).
Desirable:
Experience working with API-driven or technology-led platforms.
Familiarity with fund trading, model portfolios, and adviser workflows.
