Job Responsibilities
* Conduct high-quality, evidence-based neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people.
* Perform structured observations via digital platforms and remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team diagnostic discussions, with support from senior clinicians as needed.
* Deliver clear, compassionate feedback to families and communicate outcomes and next steps sensitively.
* Produce accurate clinical reports, including diagnostic formulations, using available tools.
* Meet service KPIs by ensuring timely assessments and reports.
* Provide clinical supervision where applicable.
* Be willing to travel to a clinic base to conduct in-person assessments (hybrid role).
Ways of Working
* Digital workflows and smart report-writing to reduce admin time and enhance clinical impact.
* In-house electronic health record system and ongoing system improvements.
* Ongoing training, onboarding, and IT support to ensure confidence with tools and systems.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 1 year of professional registration with a regulatory body (HCPC, NMC, GMC, or Social Work England).
* Experience conducting diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD in children and young people (minimum 1 year).
* Strong understanding of differential diagnoses in neurodevelopmental presentations.
* In-depth knowledge of DSM-5 criteria for autism and ADHD.
* Training and experience with diagnostic tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, etc.
* Effective time management and ability to manage caseloads and meet clinical deadlines.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and participate in collaborative diagnostic discussions.
* High-quality written language skills for clinical reporting.
* Strong communication skills with children, young people, and families; compassionate, clear, and professional interactions throughout assessments.
* Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Desirable
* Experience with ADOS-2, ADI-R, or similar diagnostic tools.
