About The Team:
The Inbound/Outbound Supervisor plays a key role in the daily operations of our Distribution Centre, managing both inbound (receiving) and outbound (dispatch) activities. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring that stock is received and shipped accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with safety and food quality standards. You will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team of warehouse operatives, monitoring performance, and ensuring that daily targets and KPIs are met. As a frontline leader, you'll foster a positive and productive work environment, identify areas for improvement, and help implement operational best practices.
What You Will Be Doing:
1. Lead and supervise a team of colleagues to ensure shift KPIs are delivered in full and on time.
2. Oversee inbound receipt of goods and outbound dispatch of orders, ensuring timely, accurate, and safe handling of stock.
3. Develop, coach, and support team members to reach their full potential, recognising and nurturing high performers.
4. Continuously assess and improve operational processes, collaborating with other departments to deliver efficiencies and innovations.
5. Ensure all incoming and outgoing stock meets food safety and quality standards through inspections and audits.
6. Act as a role model for HelloFresh DNA and lead by example in behaviour, safety, and work ethic.
7. Respond to operational queries, supporting colleagues and liaising with HR and Training teams where appropriate.
8. Maintain accurate operational records, including digital logs, food safety data, and shift reports.
9. Promote a culture of safety and well-being, ensuring all team members follow H&S protocols.
10. Ensuring that Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are met and sustainably maintained.
11. Promptly report and escalate incidents or hazards to the Distribution Manager.
12. Drive compliance with SOPs, audit readiness, and adherence to standards (e.g., BRCGS, ISO).
Who You Are:
13. Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse/distribution environment
14. Working knowledge of distribution and quality control, and H&S standards
15. Ability to engage and communicate clearly across all levels
16. Highly organised and proactive
17. Results-oriented with a hands-on mindset
18. Calm under pressure and solution-focused
19. Committed to high standards of performance and conduct
20. Experience in building and developing a high performing team culture
21. Certification in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field - would be desirable but not necessary
22. Distribution Management experience in an FMCG or Food Manufacturing environment - would be desirable but not necessary
