Due to continued growth, they are investing in their quality function and looking to strengthen their shop-floor team with an experienced Quality Inspector.

The role
Based on the shop floor, the Quality Inspector will play a key role in ensuring products meet exacting standards before reaching customers. Your responsibilities will include:
* Inspecting sheet metal fabrications, welded components and finished assemblies using manual inspection equipment
* Completing first-off and final inspections
* Creating and following inspection plans from engineering drawings
* Reviewing internal and external non-conformances in collaboration with other departments
* Producing clear, detailed inspection reports with findings and recommendations
* Identifying potential quality issues and proactively suggesting corrective actions
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within quality control
* Communicating inspection results effectively with production teams and engineers
What we’re looking for
To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:
* Strong knowledge of inspection equipment
* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Previous experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment
* At least 3 years’ experience in quality control or a related role
* Experience with Root Cause Analysis (e.g. Fishbone, 8D, 5 Whys)
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Confident communication and interpersonal skills
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software
* A formal quality qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
