About The Role: Plan, deliver and review engaging coaching sessions across multiple squads Provide individualised feedback and monitor progress through IDPs (Individual Development Plans) Contribute to matchday preparation, in-game coaching and individual post-match feedback for individual players Work collaboratively within our multi-disciplinary team Record session plans and player progress on our club system Maintain clear and professional communication with players, parents and staff Promote and uphold safeguarding, player welfare and the Academy’s values at all times Available Roles Girls’ Individual Development Coaches: Fridays (5-9pm), and Saturdays (Variable) 5-7 hours per week Girls’ JPL Coach: Tuesdays (5-6pm), Wednesdays (6–8pm), and Saturdays (Variable) 6 hours per week Coaches must be available for these hours on a consistent basis each week. About The Candidate Essential Requirements: UEFA C Licence FA Safeguarding Children Certificate Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) Previous experience coaching female players Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and during half-terms Desirable Attributes: UEFA B Licence Experience using VEO Personal Characteristics: Passionate about the women’s and girl’s game Committed to supporting young players within a professional club Strong communication and interpersonal skills Positive role model with high levels of professionalism Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative in working within a team About The Club Founded in 1976 as Stevenage Borough Football Club, we dropped the 'Borough' from our name in 2010 when we won promotion to the English Football League for the first time in our history, although it has stuck as our nickname. We currently play in Sky Bet League One, the third tier of English football. Our home games are played at The Lamex Stadium, which has a capacity of 7,800 supporters. Over the years, we have achieved a huge amount in our relatively short history: including 2 FA Trophies, 2 Conference National titles, a League Two Play-Off Trophy & automatic promotion to League One in 2023. This post requires Enhanced Criminal Records Checks and may include checks against the Barred Lists, as such it is exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974). Therefore all convictions including spent convictions that have not been subject to filtering by the DBS should be declared”. Relevant information and / or documents will be distributed as part of the recruitment process.
