Role Overview
Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a Gas Engineer (Commercial) to join our gas team.
You’ll work primarily in the Tees Valley area (Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough), with occasional travel beyond. You'll have a fixed shift pattern of 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 4pm on Fridays in summer. In winter, these hours will be 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 3:30pm on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities
* Be a part of our high‑performing gas team, working safely to ensure we meet all compliance requirements. We’ll provide a company van, fuel card, tools and any PPE you’ll need for the role.
* Service and repair commercial gas appliances.
* Complete associated gas certification documentation. You’ll work line with gas safety, installation and use regulations, as well as our standard operating procedures.
* Jobs are planned for you by our Work Planners – so you can concentrate on carrying out work to a high standard, ensuring ‘right first time’.
* Contribute to our ‘TradePlus’ scheme, acquiring diverse skills to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
About You
* Relevant experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer and able to complete services and repairs to a high standard.
* Has NVQ Level 3 / Craft Certificate in Gas Fitting or equivalent.
* Domestic gas qualifications: ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1 and MET.
* Holds a valid UK driving licence.
* Comfortable using digital devices or be willing to learn. We use mobile and hand‑held devices to allocate jobs and for you to record the completion of work.
* A commitment to safe working practices and a good grasp of health and safety regulations.
