We have an opportunity for Food Machine Operators to join us in our new Beetroot Production factory on our Retort Cookers at Florette in Lichfield, WS13 8NF. As a Food Machine Operator - Cookers, you will be a technical specialist on plant and process within the cooking process of the production stage, using retorts. In this ambient environment, you will set up and run machinery, plant and equipment ensuring all food safety and hygiene procedures are maintained. The successful candidate will perform rudimentary asset care and remedial work on equipment as well as to train operatives and ensure quality at all stages, whilst participating in systemic and process improvement within a CI framework.
Working hours: 4 days on, 4 days off. 7am to 7pm. Pay: £13.73 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Identify and rectify mechanical faults to machinery and equipment where able and invoke escalation process.
* Participate process improvements through CI framework.
* Assist to install new plant and equipment when required.
* Implement and ensure adherence to SOPS.
* Complete rudimentary PPMs as instructed.
* Management of inspections of equipment integrity on a daily basis.
Qualifications
* Previous experience with industrial cookers/retorts, ideally in an FMCG or Food Environment.
* A Mechanical mindset.
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification is desirable.
* Previous related experience with production machines, ideally in an FMCG or Food Environment.
* Open to change and constantly drives for improvement.
* A team player that supports the sharing of information and values the opinions of others.
* Tenacious approach and a good communicator.
