The role
The firm are seeking to hire an Intellectual Property / Trademark Associate to join their growing office based in the heart of the West End of London.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Intellectual Property / Trademark Associate to join a firm at the forefront of media, entertainment, and technology law. The IP department is currently 11-strong.
Work will include.
1. Provide expert advice on intellectual property rights, with a focus on brand protection.
2. Advise on trademark and design availability, registration, and protection strategies.
3. Conduct comprehensive searches to assess trademark and design availability and identify potential conflicts.
4. Oversee the preparation and filing of trademark and design applications, both domestically and internationally.
5. Manage and protect clients' intellectual property portfolios, including trademarks, copyrights, and designs.
6. Draft and review legal documents related to trademark registration, licensing, and enforcement.
7. Represent clients in negotiations and proceedings before trademark offices and courts when necessary.
8. Advise on the legal aspects of marketing new products and services, including brand development and protection.
9. Maintain a strong understanding of copyright law and its application.
10. Ensure compliance with trademark laws and manage trademark renewals.
11. Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to junior team members and paralegals.
12. Engage in marketing and business development activities to support team growth and personal business objectives.
You will be a Trademark / Intellectual Property Solicitor with between 4-8 years PQE
Salary is competitive and dependent on your background and experience.
