Westmorland Vets is seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Lead Farm Vet to join our progressive practice based in the stunning South Lakes region.
The Practice: A confident farm vet to lead a team delivering excellent care to a diverse client base of dairy, beef and sheep farms, with surgeries in Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale. We blend traditional values with a forward-thinking approach to herd health and farm consultancy.
The Area: Our sites are in the Lakes and the Dales, about 13 minutes apart. You may be required to work at both sites depending on cases, with flexibility regarding start location. The area offers extensive outdoor living and good transport links.
Role and responsibilities
As Clinical Lead, you’ll work closely with our directors to shape the future of our farm services, support and mentor colleagues, and help drive innovation in data-driven decision-making, preventative health plans, and farmer education. Clinical work will remain a key part of your role, allowing you to stay hands-on while leading by example. You will be leading a team of 4 farm vets; there are 8 nurses and 10 support staff in the broader team, with no dedicated farm nurses, though team members help with calving.

Salary up to £60,000 DOE
